Financial Aid Programme
Thank you for your interest! Financial aid applications are now closed for this year. Please refrain from inquiries and check back next year when applications reopen.
We want PyCon DE & PyData 2026 to be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances. To help make that possible, we offer grants in the categories below.
What We Offer
- Online Ticket: A complimentary standard online ticket.
- In-person Ticket: A complimentary standard in-person ticket.
- Europe and Neighbouring Countries1 Travel Grant: Up to 250€ in travel reimbursements, plus an on-site ticket and hotel accommodation.
- Intercontinental Travel Grant: Up to 650€ in travel reimbursements, plus an on-site ticket and hotel accommodation.
We'll pre-book shared hotel rooms near the venue. This helps secure better rates and provides documentation for visa applications. Use the form to tell us if you prefer to arrange your own lodging. If you do, we can reimburse up to 150€ for your stay.
Who Should Apply
Our programme is open to anyone who needs financial assistance. When reviewing applications, we consider:
- Economic factors – Students, job seekers, and anyone experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to apply.
- Diversity – We actively support applicants who help make the community more inclusive and representative.
- Community contributions – Share how you give back, whether through open-source projects, local meetups, or other initiatives.
Applicants who are not awarded an in-person grant remain eligible for a free online ticket.
